Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

We do not currently work directly with the insurance companies. However, we do provide paperwork for treatments that you can submit to your insurance provider for probable reimbursement (depending on the insurance provider's policies).

Does acupuncture hurt?

Acupuncture needles are about the size of a human hair, so the insertion never compares to getting a shot. The patient may feel a slight poke as the needle punctures the skin. As the needle is manipulated with the intent of balance, the patient may feel a heavy or electrical sensation. This is called “da Qi” – the feeling of the needle activating the Qi. This can be slightly uncomfortable for some patients, but the sensation quickly dissipates – usually within a few seconds.

What are the risks of acupuncture?

Acupuncture and its adjunct modalities are very safe forms of treatment. I use factory sterilized disposable needles and I am certified in clean needle technique.

What can be treated with acupuncture?

Acupuncture, herbs and energy healing have proven very effective in treating imbalances in the whole being - physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and energetic. Therefore, conditions concerning each have been successfully treated.

What is Energy Healing?

Energy healing accesses the energies of higher dimensions, by way of light and information exchange through Spirit. In this healing, the patient is barely touched (if at all), and need only open themselves to healing energies and accept what comes along. As a “healer”, I open myself up to be a catalyst – receiving the healing energy from Source and allowing it to run from, to and within me, like light passing through a prism. I join the patient and the universe in a state of loving unity. The healing then is between the patient and the universe. This healing, I believe, works to restore balance
in all aspects of being.
